On July 3, 2020, Switzerland's top track and field athletes will meet in Lucerne for an invitational meeting. The competition will be organized by the national federation Swiss Athletics in cooperation with the organizers of Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern. The meeting will take place without spectators. Sports fans can watch the highlights from 10 p.m. on SRF zwei in a 30-minute partial recording.
Individual top athletes from neighboring countries are also expected. In advance, the javelin throwing is planned to be held at a high international level in both the women's and men's events. In other disciplines, too, the Swiss top performers will be able to compete against individual international cracks.
According to the current state of the safety concepts of the federal government and the federation, only 300 people - including athletes, judges, journalists and camera crew - will be allowed in the stadium. Anyone not registered by name will not be allowed access to the cordoned-off athletics facility on July 3.
